the idea was to have a video site like youtube, and have it work for old pcs, without any link to actual youtube or custom proxies needed.
for example, warpstream requires you to set a http proxy, [which prevents you from accessing the resular web.], and still uses youtube as a backend. While This site also allows you to upload from your old pc directly! [account required]

this site can be used on ie6 and up with our embedded flash video players.

there are multiple different flash video players, the default one is yt2009. You can check out others and set them as default in settings
You can pick others manually with &fp= after your video url, or switch to force flash player with &flonly behind ur yourl

available ones are: yt2009, yt2006, yt2006_1, OSPlayer2, OSPlayer3. More may be added in the future if we get to debug the original players, or open source ones [by your suggestion??]

Windows xp on Internet Explorer 6/8

please download flash 10.1 from here or archive.org [the same file] to use the flash player on Internet Explorer 6/8.

Windows xp and FireFox 52

as you may have knowticed firefox 52 on xp seems to generate the Video format or MIME type is not supported error a lot with the html5 video tag. In order to use the flash player on firefox 52 please download flashplayer 32_371

[this isnt the ActiveX control flash as used for ie, but for firefox. If desired set to ALWAYS ACTIVE on the addons page] Note: right now you still need to add &fp at the end of your url to spawn the flash player, or turn on Force Flash in settings. we might force flash for firefox 52 in the future, please check our discord

For firefox 52 I also recommend Ublock Origin Legacy if you're gonna browser the modern web. It was last updated in 2021 but its still a LOT better than the naked web. [for instructions see here]

Using Internet Explorer 11 with the flash player on windows 7 / 10 [or windows 11, if you're like that]

You cannot use flash player on modern chrome or firefox, punt uit. So ie11 is your best bet.

To start ie11 on windows 10/11 today, a simple script is needed, since an update to Windows in 2023 causes any attempt to open internet explorer open Edge instead..
With startie.vbs you can open ie11 anyway. [You can right click and edit with notepad to check what the code does [or ask chatgpt if you dont know it] in case you dont trust the file]

To install flash player on ie11, download flash371AX. this is the last version of flash player without the 12-01-2021 killswitch.
To install this on windows 10 or 11, right click, press properties, go to the Compatibility menu, and then select run in compatibillity mode for windows 7, then run to install. select Never check for updates, OR IT WILL KILL ITSELF
On windows 7 you can just run it normally.

Windows 2000, both the looks of win9X, and the stability of NT

So basically for ie6 just run the ActiveX installer discussed in winxp IE setup, as this setup works with both ie6 and 8.

For firefox 12, you need to download, well, Firefox 12 directly from firefox pub, and flashplayer10_1r102_64_win.exe, then just install that.

Fun facts:

The desktop site works fine for tablets, tested on my moms old Samsung Galaxy tab 4, before it died after losing 15% charge in 4 minutes because the battery sucks after 5 years of being completely dead. [charge your apparatus guys, even if you dont use them]
